Abstract
The safety of a voyage is a big responsibility and is the most important thing from all aspects. Shipping safety is closely related to the human resources that operate the ship. With professional human resources will provide added value for shipping safety. Thus, the performance of employees is very important in supporting the safety and quality of shipping in accordance with the regulations of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code), which is the standard of international regulations for safety management in ship operation as well as efforts to prevent or control environmental pollution. This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code. In this study, sampling was based on land practice. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire. The type of data used in this study is primary data collected through sending questionnaires to respondents. The research method is quantitative. The results of this study indicate that the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) has a positive influence, as a moderating factor it can strengthen the influence of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code).
