Abstract
School bus transportation services are activities that provide facilities to provide pick-up and drop-off services for students with the aim of facilitating transportation to and from school. Students can come or leave school on time, so that students' time discipline will increase. School buses are of course a part of the public transportation system in various countries, including Indonesia, which is managed and fully subsidized by the government. Free school bus services can be used as part of educational facilities that provide alternative solutions to overcome the increasing cost of education. The existence of service quality in accordance with applicable procedures, the effectiveness of activities in school bus transportation that are good and systematic, the ease of access in using school bus transportation services and the strategic location of bus stops, the Surakarta City Public Service Agency (BLU) must pay attention to user interests school buses in Surakarta City properly and regularly. In this research, interest in school buses in Surakarta City is influenced by several factors including: Service Quality, Effectiveness, Ease of Access and Determining Bus Stop Locations. These factors have an important role in increasing the interest of school bus users. The population in this study were students from SMA 1 Surakarta (Class 11 and Class 12) as well as students in the city of Surakarta with a sample size of 100 respondents. The independent variables from this research were: Service Quality, Effectiveness, Ease of Access and Determining Bus Stop Locations, as well as the dependent variable namely Interest in School Buses. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the application (SPSS) version 27. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing show that Service Quality, Effectiveness, Ease of Access and Determination of Bus Stop Locations has a positive and significant effect on interest in school buses in the city of Surakarta. Based on the research results, it is known that the research model from the multiple linear regression equation produces the equation: Y= -0,504 + 0,264.X1 + 0,203.X2 + 0,323.X3 + 0,249.X4 + µ From the results of the equation, it shows that the Service Quality variable (X1) has (t count 3.841 > t table 1.98609), the Effectiveness variable (X2) has (t count 2.704 > t table 1.98609), the Ease of Access variable (X3) has ( t count 2.420 > t table 1.98609) and the Bus Stop Location Determination variable (X4) has (t count 3.773 > t table 1.98609). As for the value of Adjusted R² = 0.622. This means that 62.2% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y), namely School Bus Interest, is explained by the independent variables, namely Service Quality (X1), Effectiveness (X2), Ease of Access (X3) and Bus Stop Location Determination (X4). The remaining 100% - 62.2% = 37.8%, is influenced by other variables outside the research.
