Abstract
Traffic accidents are the main indicator of the level of road safety. In developed countries, road safety issues are very important to reduce the number of traffic accidents and the number of victims of traffic accidents that occur. This is an indicator of the importance of understanding the characteristics of accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of traffic accidents on the majapahit road, Semarang with a sample 100 respondents. The sampling technique used accidental sampling (non- probability sampling). The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is as follows : Y= -2,323 + 0.337.X1 + 0.206.X2 +0.375.X3 + 0.288.X4 + µ The results of multiple linear regression research show that the constant (α) is 0,864, the regression coefficient for the Human Error variable (X1) is 0.347, the road condition variable coefficient(X2) is 0.359, the vehicle condition variable coefficient (X3) is 0.205. The influence of the four research variables is very strong with a correlation coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.556) which means 55,6% of the variablse coefficient of Human error, road conditions, vehicle conditions, affects traffic accidents, while the remaining 44,4% is influenced by variables outside this research. Keywords : Human Error, Road Conditions, Vehicle Conditions And Traffic Accidents
