Abstract
PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) is one of the BUMN (State Owned Enterprises) companies engaged in port services. This company consists of 18 port branches and one of them is the Tanjung Perak Surabaya branch. Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya itself as one of the largest ports in Indonesia has strategic value and potential as a port for collecting natural resources originating from the hinterland area which is quite extensive and continues to grow. Therefore the role of the Port of Tanjung Perak in Surabaya is quite important for international trade activities (export-import), encouraging domestic trade as well as regional economic development and growth efforts in East Java Province in particular, as well as eastern Indonesia in general. One of the activities or facilities of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) branch of Tanjung Perak Surabaya is a dry bulk loading and unloading activity at Jamrud Terminal. Loading and unloading itself means the activity of separating goods from sea transportation modes to land transportation modes or vice versa, loading and unloading activities consist of loading and unloading (loading and unloading from and to ships). Cargodoring (operational transfer of goods from the wharf). Receiving (receiving goods from vehicles in front of the door of the warehouse/field until the goods are arranged in the warehouse/field). Delivery (delivery of goods from the warehouse/yard of goods until they are stacked on a transport vehicle). The loading and unloading of dry bulk cargo that is carried out at Jamrud Terminal is unloading with loss trucks. Dry bulk cargo is cargo consisting of unpacked bundles of dry granules shipped in bulk at one time. By properly preparing all loading and unloading activities from planning to operation, dry bulk loading and unloading activities at Jamrud Terminal will be carried out properly. Obstacles that occur during activities can be overcome in accordance with the systems and procedures set by PT. Indonesian Port Branch (Persero).
