Abstract
Abstract Logs are large or long pieces of wood that have not been shaped or processed, usually logs are still in the form of wood with the bark. Logs are usually loaded on log ships, as well as on MV ships. Dahlia Merah, which is a wooden cargo ship or often called a Log Carrier, is the same as the KM. Dahlia Merah ship which loads logs to a special dock for PT Kayu Lapis Indonesia. The author found obstacles at the dock of PT Kayu Lapis Indonesia, therefore the author is interested in reviewing this problem. This study aims to reveal the problems that occur in the activities of unloading logs at the special dock of PT. Indonesian plywood and try to provide optimization efforts or solutions. These problems resulted in delays in the dismantling process so that the production process in the company also became less effective and efficient. Data was collected by conducting interviews with related parties and direct observation for 6 months in KM. Dahlia Merah. Thus, it is hoped that there will be no more obstacles that can hinder the loading and unloading process and the company's own operations. Keyword : Log, Loading and Unloading Equipment , Maintenance
