Abstract

Abstract Draft Survey is an activity required in the process of exporting and importing bulk goods by sea. Marine survey service companies take an important role in this activity. In addition, the increasing number of shipping goods by sea by ship makes this service company very much needed. Draft survey calculation method based on Archimedes' principle where the weight of an object floating in the water is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the object, because by knowing how deep the ship enters the water we can know the weight or weight of the ship's cargo. Writing scientific papers aims to find out how the process of initial and final survey drafts, documents - documents needed, related parties as well as obstacles and solutions during the implementation of the draft survey. the author uses certain methods in collecting data such as through observation, interviews, literature studies and document studies which in their explanation refer to qualitative and quantitative data, these data are obtained from primary data and secondary data.Observations concluded that all bulk cargo ships and barges require draft survey calculation services. What will later be obtained are several documents on the results of the calculation of the cargo carried and traded as one of the important documents for the ship as required by international trade regulations as well as the Ministry of Trade and domestic regulations.
