Abstract
The problem of driving safety in general in Indonesia is still often ignored. This is indicated by the still high number of accidents while driving. Common problems with driving safety are also common. Driving safety aims to create conditions that support the safety of motorcyclists, especially on the Yos Sudarso Semarang Artery road, many factors affect driving safety such as those related to driving behavior, traffic compliance, road conditions, vehicle conditions. In this study, four research variables will be analyzed, namely driving behavior, traffic compliance, road conditions and vehicle conditions as independent variables and driver safety as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether there is a positive influence either individually or simultaneously between the independent variables of driving behavior, traffic compliance, road conditions and vehicle conditions on the dependent variable of driver safety In this study the object taken was a motorcycle rider on Jalan Arteri Yos Sudarso Semarang. Sources of data include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this research is 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression techniques. Based on the results of the research and multiple analysis, the resulting equation is: Y = 1.735 + 0.335X1 + 0.291X2 + 0.256X3 + 0.247X4 µ The influence of the four research variables is very strong with the value of adjusted R2 = 0.619. This is meaningful variables of driving behavior, traffic compliance, road conditions and vehicle equipment affect driving safety by 61.9%. While the rest (100% -61.9 = 38.1%) is explained by other variables outside the model that are not explained in this study.
