Abstract
ABSTRACT In this study three independent variables were analyzed, namely Traffic Knowledge, Vehicle Factors, Road Factors that affect the dependent variable, namely Traffic Accidents. The formulation of the problem, research objectives and hypotheses in this study were to analyze the positive and significant influence individually between the independent variables namely Traffic Knowledge, Vehicle Factors, Road Factors on the dependent variable namely Traffic Accidents. In this study, the object taken was the Gentong Ring Road, Tasikmalaya Regency. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who were drivers of four-wheeled vehicles on Jalan Raya Lingkar Gentong, Tasikmalaya Regency. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression analysis and with statistical tools SPSS Version 26, based on research results and data analysis, the regression equation is produced : Y = -1.389 + 0.375X1 + 0.193X2 + 0.570X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a positive and significant effect partially between Traffic Knowledge (X1) on Traffic Accidents (Y) (t count = 4.305 > t table = 1.98472), Vehicle Factors (X2) on Traffic Accidents Traffic (Y) (t count = 2.523 > t table = 1.98472), Road Factor (X3) to Traffic Accidents (Y) (t count = 6.388 > t table = 1.98472), while the coefficient of determination gets an Adjusted value R Square of 0.772 thus 77.2% of the variation of the dependent variable Traffic Accidents can be explained by variations of the three independent variables namely Traffic Knowledge, Vehicle Factors, and Road Factors. While the remaining (100% - 77.2% = 22.8%) is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords : Traffic Knowledge, Vehicle Factors, Road Factors and Traffic Accidents.
