Abstract
The anchor engine is an anchor winch installed on the ship for the purpose of lifting and lowering the anchor and anchor chain through the anchor tube (haws pipe). medium. The anchor machine is equipped with a clutch system to release and activate the propulsion work with the main shaft. The problems found in the electric-powered anchor engine include wear and tear of the anchor engine gears which causes the performance of the anchor engine to not be optimal when operating. The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to carry out maintenance on the gears so that fatigue does not occur and they continue to run as they should.
