Abstract

ABSTRACT The main discussion in writing this paper is made to obtain an in- depth picture of the role of PT. Gesuri Lloyd Surabaya branch, especially in the process ofthe arrival of the MV. Coral ship docking activity at the Teluk Lamong terminal, the documents needed, relevant agencies, costs ship operations, the stages passed, the obstacles experienced as well as solutions to overcome obstacles in the process of ship docking activities and the results of the completion of the solution constraints. For the data used, the author uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with field operations and branch heads. While secondary data obtained through books, archives, and other sources. The data collection method used was observation which saw directly the activities at the port. The results of the study can be concluded that the company is engaged in shipping agency services where this company helps provide ship arrival and departure services during loadingand unloading activities at the port terminal.
