Abstract
Abstrack Fulfilling the need for coal as an energy source in Steam Power Plants (PLTU) which continues to increase along with loading and unloading activities at the Port. Loading and unloading activities are still not optimal, such as the unloading process not running according to schedule, caused by obstacles such as external and internal factors such as natural factors that do not allow and the rust factor of the unloading equipment. This paper aims to discuss how the dismantling process at the special terminal Paiton as jetty management by PT. Adhi Guna Putera Paiton Branch. This paper uses a qualitative approach, by collecting data through observation, document analysis, literature study, and interviews. The results of the paper include loading and unloading activities for coal at the special terminal Paiton which includes the preparation of documents, equipment, manpower, planning for loading and unloading activities, and completion of unloading activities. The unloading documents prepared are Bill of Lading, Cargo Manifest, Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Weight, Draft Survey, Statement of Fact, Time Sheet, Outturn Report. Unloading activities use equipment consisting of ship unloaders, grabs, conveyors, wheel loaders, and slings. Barriers to natural or weather factors, loading and unloading equipment factors such as the rustiness of unloading equipment, which are some of the challenges faced in carrying out the process of unloading coal at the Paiton special terminal in Jetty Management Services to support smooth unloading at the Paiton special terminal are already underway properly according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) which includes operational processes, detailed information on ship arrival and unloading of coal.
