Abstract
ABSTRACT . PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Makassar Branch is a subsidiary of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Surabaya which serves Ferry/Ro-Ro transportation in Indonesia. Embarkation by definition can be interpreted as the departure of passengers and vehicles by ship which is carried out from a predetermined place and Debarkation can be interpreted as the disembarkation of passengers, vehicles and goods/cargo from the ship in the place provided at the port. In carrying out the Embarkation and Debarkation process, there is a background problem, namely in the process of handling incoming and outgoing passengers, such as unfavorable weather and delays in land transportation in the form of trucks. The observation method used is qualitative which discusses a number of issues, as well as summarizes the information contained in the research and proposes in what is desired. The data used are primary and secondary. Primary data is collected by observing research objects and secondary data is obtained from books, journals, government regulations and applicable laws. The purpose of this discussion is to find out about services during embarkation and disembarkation, mandatory documents for passengers, related parties, obstacles and solutions during passenger embarkation and disembarkation services.
