Abstract
The National Search and Rescue Agency has the main task of carrying out guidance, coordination and control of SAR potential in SAR activities for people and materials that are lost or feared lost or face danger on shipping and/or flights, as well as providing assistance in disasters and other calamities in accordance with regulations, national and international search and rescue. Clearly the duties and functions of SAR are handling shipping and/or aviation disasters, and/or other disasters and/or disasters in search and rescue efforts when disasters occur. The handling of the disaster in question includes 2 main things, namely search and rescue. Unpredictable nature often becomes a barrier for humans to endure situations. Life-threatening emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. So, to maximize existing equipment/resources is very important. The purpose of this study is to find out about the search and rescue operation procedures for victims and how the concept of survival at sea. The data collection method used is the data collection method either through observation, interviews, and library research as well as direct observation at the Bandung search and rescue office. The results of this study are that using search operations, recovery of victims and the concept of survival at sea helps increase the chances of survival. The conclusion of this paper is that the search and rescue procedure for victims is important for a rescuer to be responsive in saving victims, and the concept of survival can be useful for both a rescuer and a victim. For natural disasters, SAR operations are one of a series of cycles of emergency response to natural disasters. The cycle consists of prevention, preparedness, emergency response, and recovery, when SAR operations are part of the actions in emergency response. Keywords: Procedure, Search Operation, Survival,
