Abstract

To achieve the optimal implementation of coal unloading using an excavator, in writing this scientific paper, the author describes the theory of the implementation of coal unloading preparation. Based on the background of the problems that have been stated, it was found that there were obstacles in the preparation and implementation of loading and unloading on the TB LUMINA 06 ship, namely the erratic weather and the small number of transportation fleets. So it can be concluded that the lack of preparation before carrying out the unloading and the lack of supervision at the time of loading resulted in the implementation of coal unloading being not optimal. The author's suggestion is that the company can deal with the uncertain weather, increase the number of transportation fleets and pay more attention to ship demand, so that the loading and unloading process can be carried out as optimally as possible. To support the completion of this paper, the methods used by the author are descriptive qualitative methods, while the data collection methods used are interviews, observations and literature related to cargo handling, especially during loading and unloading.
