Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is about the bunker process or refueling by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama on the KM ship. KIRANA. There are several background problems that must be resolved by the author, namely the parties involved in the bunker process, the tools used, and the documents needed in managing bunker activities. PT. Dharma Lautan Utama is a shipping company that serves passenger and vehicle crossings in almost all parts of Indonesia. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the level of optimization of the bunker process on the KM ship. Kirana in supporting ship operations by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Parepare Branch. Based on the data collection carried out during the onshore practice (Prada), the authors used several methods, namely interviews, observation, document study. The result of the discussion of this paper is the bunker process on the KM ship. KIRANA by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama, to be able to carry out the bunker process, there are several stages that must be carried out. The most frequent problems during the bunker were bad weather, the tools used, and the availability of fuel at the PT. Pertamina (Persero). Keywords: Bunkering, Process, Facilities
