Abstract
While an emergency generator is an electric engine consisting of a generator and motor that is used to drive the generator rotor. Emergency generator s are commonly used as emergency power sources for various electical needs on ships such as lights, navigation devices pumps and various other equipment when the ships in a black out condition. Impact caused by reduced emergency generator performance, efforts that must be made so that emergency generator performance does not go down and run normally. That the research method that I use is the SHEL and USG methode, where SHEL is used to find the causes of problems while USG is used to find problems and ways to overcome them. The results obtained from this this study indicate that the couse of reduced emergency generator MT. PRINCES NAOMI performance is the lack of optimal working of injectors, lack of skills or human abilities, not the implementantion of a plan maintence system (PMS). The way to overcome the above problems is to periodically treat emergency generator, especially fuel filters and injectors so that they can completely fuel the fuel and oprate emergency generators to run normally again.
