Abstract
Fuel fogging is an initial process of fuel combustion in the main engine. The quality of the fuel atomization depends on the atomizer, namely the injector. With the right timing and speed of fogging will increase the perfection of combustion in the cylinder. The important thing that must be considered on the fuel atomizer is the frequent disturbances in the fuel atomizer system such as clogged atomizer holes, atomizer needles that do not move, needle pressure springs not working properly, injection pump pressure drops and leaks occur in the injectors. Collection method the data used is the observation method, interview method, library method. However, regular injector maintenance is very important in maintaining the fuel atomization process, so that the main engine performance on the ship is more optimal. periodically where this is usually done after working hours have reached the limit specified in the manual book.
