Abstract
Sea transportation has a larger and cheaper transportation capacity. In this study, researchers used documentation in the form of pictures. As defined in, documentation is a record of events that have been studied. Documents can be in the form of writing, pictures, or monumental works of someone. The documentation used to collect the data is then reviewed. Documentation in this study is more on collecting documentation supporting the research data needed. The author obtained the data by studying the format and use of each document. The documentation method is a complementary method for qualitative writing. In the efforts of Passenger Safety, Security, and Order at the Port of Tanjung Batu, the syahbandar realizes good performance in carrying out or can be carried out, but it has not been maximized because of irregularities that occur, such as patrol officers who only have one person down the field, to supervise ships. Officers of the Port Authority and Port Authority Office Class I Tanjung Balai Karimun apply safety, security, and passenger supervision standards. In accordance with the organizational level, Tanjung Batu Port is a port that has not been commercialized so it is managed by the Office of the Harbor Master and Class I Port Authority of Tanjung Balai Karimun.
