Abstract
KN.SADEWA belonging to BASARNAS Semarang is equipped with safety equipment a ccording to the standards used to support the smooth operation of rescue operations in marine accidents. BASARNAS Semarang carries out regular maintenance on safety equipment to maintain the effectiveness of the safety equipment functions so that when used in marine accident victims rescue operations can run smoothly. The purpose of writing this research is to find out how to maintain good and correct safety equipment, to find out the effect of maintenance on supporting equipment for marine accident victims on the effectiveness of its use, to help make the effectiveness of the use of safety equipment to support marine accident victims at Basarnas Semarang. The data collection method in this paper uses the observation method, the interview method, and the documentation method. In carrying out evacuations in the field at sea and on land, the SAR also has crews who are reliable and proficient in their fields, it's all because of the routine exercises they do so that they reap the results that do not disappoint. KN. SADEWA highly upholds the security and safety of anyone on board the ship so as to create a secure and conducive situation so that KN. SADEWA is equipped with safety equipment to support safety operations and carry out regular maintenance on safety equipment. Keywords: safety equipment, marine accident.
