Abstract
Density of marine transportation activities can cause frequent sea pollution, marine pollution is very dangerous and must be prevented here. KPLP is the agency authorized in the prevention of marine pollution. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to find out what the requirements of KPLP officers are before carrying out their role as an apparatus authorized in the control of pollution prevention, how the role of KPLP in preventing marine pollution, and what are the obstacles faced by KPLP in carrying out its duties as an authorized agency in preventing marine and coastal pollution and what is the responsibility of KPLP in preventing pollution, At the writing of this paper The author uses qualitative data types and uses participatory observation methods, documentation, and interviews. And from the discussion of these results the authors can draw conclusions that the prevention of marine pollution can be easily prevented if all supporting aspects are met such as communication between the ship and the KPLP, all ships have complete marine pollution prevention tools, KPLP officers have the competence on pollution prevention and all KPLP actions in preventing pollution are in accordance with the applicable regulations.
