Abstract
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency is an agency providing weather and climate information in Indonesia. This institution establishes Meteorological Stations in various places to observe environmental conditions around the station. The role of meteorological stations in using tools to make weather forecasts and data used in forecasting the weather and how to analyze the results of these data that can provide weather information to ships. The method of collecting data in this observation was done by interview to find out the results of the data that had been observed. In its task of predicting and obtaining weather information, the Meteorological Station has several tools to obtain information about future weather forecasts, such as the Meteorolological Cage. In the case of obtaining weather and climate data, the equipment and observation procedures must be uniform. Therefore, meteorological cage specifications have also been set for such uniformity. For tropical areas such as Indonesia, the weather is always changing, therefore it is realized that forecasting the weather is not easy, because in addition to understanding the nature of the atmosphere or atmospheric dynamics, experience and courage are also needed in making forecast decisions. The data that has been summarized from the observations of each rain post and cooperation station is published according to the user's request. Meanwhile, ships that provide maritime weather information can be sent directly to relevant stakeholders every day via radio, facsimile, and social media. This observation aims to study weather forecasts from natural phenomena that occur in order to create a shipping trip that is free from bad weather obstacles.
