Abstract
Coronavirus Disease – 19 has emerged as a new type of disease originating from the city of Wuhan, China, which was caused by the corona virus and has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. It was designated as a pandemic because of its rapid spread and also becoming a global crisis that affected all fields, especially in the national economy, especially in the maritime sector, such as unloading and loading of goods/containers using sea transportation. This observation was carried out to find information related to how the impact of the covid-19 pandemic was in the process of unloading coal by PT. Samudra Adhi Jaya on board and managing documents and obstacles experienced by the company during the initial preparation until the demolition took place. Sources of data in this observation using secondary data as the main data. The data collection method used in this observation was obtained from observations, interviews, literature and internet media. The method used for compiling is a qualitative method. PT. Samudra Adhi Jaya is a loading and unloading company engaged in the field of loading and unloading coal in collaboration with the EMKL (Sea Ship Load Expedition) company, namely PT. Surya Laut Lingkar Sejati in transporting cargo using EMKL's trucks. Unloading by PT. Samudra Adhi Jaya begins when the ship's documents have been processed / have received permission to carry out the unloading process. The implementation of bulk loading and unloading includes stevedoring, cargodoring, receiving/delivery of coal cargo from trucking to the warehouse of PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, who is a consignee by implementing health protocols to prevent the spread of the corona virus which is currently hitting Indonesia, thereby minimizing new cases. Although in the unloading process there are still several factors that hinder the implementation, the company makes every effort to make the unloading process smooth.
