Abstract
This paper that discusses the operation and maintenance of pumps on patrol boats is motivated by the smooth operation of a ship which is a very important factor for passenger and consumer satisfaction. Besides that, fire is a thing that is prone to occur and is dangerous for ship travel activities. For this reason, it is necessary to have a system and routine maintenance of the fire fighting pump system and maintenance on board. This study uses a method with a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out (1) to find out what damage happened to the fifi pump on the BC 60001 ship. (2) to find out how to maintain the fifi pump on the BC 60001 ship. Than, it can be concluded that the fire pump system the ship works through the installation of fire extinguishing piping which is channeled to every room of the ship, where in the event of a fire, the fire pump supplies water to the sea, passes through the installation pipes and then the water is released to the place of the fire through the sprinkler.
