Abstract
The anchor machine is an anchor crane installed on the ship for the purpose of lifting and stretching anchors and anchor chains through anchor tubes (Hawse Pipe). The anchor machine currently uses a lot of electric driving power. Steam power, hydraulic and electric power anchor engines. If the anchor machine is equipped with a chain stopper that is firmly attached to the forecastle deck, then this tool must have the ability to break up 80% of the chain breaking load. If the chain stopper is not installed, the anchor machine must be able to withstand pulling with a breaking load of 80% of the broken chain load with no deformation on the equipment also slip on the braking system. For ships below 200 GRT can use a manual crane, which is moved by hand. Here will be discussed how to maintain the anchor machine and how to repair the anchor in case of damage. So that the anchor engine can operate perfectly without the slightest interference. Key words : Maintenance, Repair, Anchor Machines
