Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is to find out more in depth the process of loading and unloading containers that occur at PT. Pelindo Indonesia Surabaya Branch, especially in the container stacking process at the Jamrud Terminal stacking yard. This discussion includes the initial process of the shipping party applying for stacking, booking orders that are carried out internally through zoom between the shipping party and staff planners, using tools, determining job orders, to billing notes. All these processes are carried out using a special website system called IBS and support website called SPINER. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out more about handling loading and unloading, especially containers at PT. Pelindo Indonesia Surabaya Branch at Jamrud Terminal. Starting from the ship docking and the unloading process, to the placement of containers in the container yard. In addition, the author will also review the process of receiving containers for stacks at the Jamrud Terminal container yard, the costs that will arise in the loading and unloading process, parties related to the loading and unloading process, as well as supporting documents that must be completed during the loading and unloading process The data collection method used by the author is through observation. The author sees firsthand the activities that occur in the field when carrying out Land Practices (PRADA). The data used by the author to compose this paper are primary data and secondary data. The primary data itself includes interviews conducted directly with the Jamrud Terminal staff planner. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected from various archives, books and jurnals. The result of the observation is that the container stacking process can be carried out quickly and efficiently if through the correct flow.
