Abstract
The Effectiveness of the Fuel Bunker Process in MV kartini baruna The development of technology has almost touched all aspects of human life at this time. This adds to a more competitive life, so that we can deliver good results. Likewise in the world of shipping which is engaged in sea transportation services. Bunker is an activity on board ships and ports, this bunker activity aims to refuel ships. The operation of the ship certainly does not escape the bunker before the ship sails and operates, as for some procedures that are good and correct, and do not endanger the ship's crew or the port, of course, must consider how to carry out an effective bunker so that there will be no oil spills and violations of the shipping law, namely Marpol Annex I, which explains marine affairs with its various aspects, to create the effectiveness of the fuel bunker on board the ship, of course, the things that need to be considered to avoid fatal incidents that endanger the crew, the completeness and readiness in carrying out the fuel bunker process on board the ship, it is necessary to have regulations on the Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP). The role of the effectiveness of the fuel bunker process cannot be ignored because the role of the fuel bunker process on board is very important to support perfect results. A good and optimal bunker process reduces obstacles and hazards on board. With regard to the readiness of the bunker process which is very important for effective results. So it is necessary to get special attention in implementing the rules and procedures when doing bunkers. Key Words : Bunker, Procedure, Effectiveness
