Abstract
Shipping safety is very important and occupies a central position in all aspects of the shipping world. Aspects attached to shipping safety include the characteristics of attitudes, values, and activities regarding the importance of fulfilling safety and security requirements relating to transportation in waters and ports. In this study, shipping safety is influenced by several factors including: ship crew safety equipment, manning, ship conditions and shipping navigational aids. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 22 application. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing showed that the ship's crew safety equipment, manning, ship condition and SBNP had a positive and partially significant effect on shipping safety. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation resulted in the following equation: Y = -1.566 + 0.306 X1 + 0.250 X2 + 0.271 X3 + 0.288 X4 + µ From the equation results show that the ship crew safety equipment variable (X1) has t count (3.330) > t table (1.99045), manning variable (X2) has t count (2.038) > t table (1.99045), SBNP variable (X3) has t count (2.772) > t table (1.99045), variable navigation (X4) has t count (3.621) > t table (1.99045). Thus, the results of the study show that the safety equipment of the ship's crew, manning, ship condition and navigational aids have a positive and significant effect on shipping safety. Keywords: Manning, Sailing Safety, Ship Condition, Ship Crew Safety Equipment, SBNP.
