Abstract
In carrying out the process of unloading fertilizers, optimization is needed. Optimization is the achievement of results as expected effectively and efficiently. The purpose of loading and unloading optimization is to streamline all loading and unloading procedures. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and document studies so that they can be analyzed and conclusions drawn. The results of observations made at the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang, the author said that the loading and unloading of fertilizers by PT Blessings of Bumi Samudra have complied with applicable regulations. Preparations according to established procedures such as documents prior to loading and unloading activities, provision of fertilizer loading and unloading equipment, provision of unloading safety equipment, manpower unloading fertilizers, and carrying out unloading activities according to fertilizer loading and unloading procedures and can overcome obstacles -obstacles that may occur during the loading and unloading of fertilizers. The author concludes that PT Blessings of Bumi Samudra in preparing, implementing and in dealing with obstacles to loading and unloading activities are in accordance with the procedure.
