The electric motor is inseparable from the presence of loading and unloading tools on the ship, namely cargo cranes which are used for the process of loading onto the ship or the process of loading and unloading from ship to land so that the ship can perform its function properly. The existence of problems or damage to the electric motor component system on the which crane, can result in delays in the grab/grab and decreased performance of the crane so that the loading and unloading process cannot work normally. Immediately there is a check on the crane. Methods related to report writing are more inclined to use studies from research. In conducting research, usually using a type of primary data research and secondary data. To collect data, it is necessary to conduct an observation, interview, and documentation. Given the importance of cargo cranes in order to be able to lift loads according to their safe working load, the presence of cargo cranes on board must be well cared for, knowing the factors that cause cargo cranes to not lift loads and efforts to overcome these problems it is hoped that handling of cargo cranes is more directed and down time cargo cranes are smaller and do not interfere with the loading and unloading process and the operation of the ship itself so that shipping activities can run smoothly and the company does not experience losses. For problems that occur and provide suggestions to carry out improvements according to the Intruction Manual Book. Keywords: Electric Motor, Cargo Crane Engine, Related Components, Damage, Repair.
