Abstract
This writing aims to maximize cloud observations against storms and rain on shipping safety. Because basically cloud observation is the main process in predicting bad weather for shipping safety. In this case, the activity of monitoring and predicting clouds must be understood theoretically about cloud science so that in practice it does not become an obstacle in monitoring clouds, especially when rain and storms come. These activities greatly affect the safety of shipping. Therefore the Tanjung Emas Maritime Meteorology Station Semarang should apply theoretical understanding to every employee who is given the task of observing and predicting clouds when storms and rain will come. The Tanjung Emas Maritime Meteorological Station, Semarang and the shipping side can anticipate the safety of the ship in case of bad weather. Keywords: Cloud Observation, Bad Weather, Sailing Safety
