Abstract

Transportation is an inseparable part of human life there is a close relationship between transportation and the location of human activities, goods and services the development of transportaion has an impact on the emergence of various trrafic problems. The number of vehicles exceeds the capacity of the road. This study aims to determine the analysis of the effect of road narrowing, human factors and trrafic volume simultaneously on trrafic congestion on the Sultan Hasanudin road, Dumai City. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The sample collection technique used incidental sampling totaling 100 respondents. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS V 25. The ressults showed that road narrowing had a positive and significant effect on trrafic congestion. It was obtained t count (2.493) > t table (1.9849), human factors have a positive and significant efffect on traffic congestion obtained t count (3.990) > t table (1.9849), traffic volume has a positive and significant effect on traffic congestion obtained t count (4.542) > t table (1/9849), then H1, H2, H3 are accepted.
