Abstract
Motorboat safety is a condition of fulfilling safety and security requirements concerning transportation in inland waters, docks, and the aquatic environment. The fulfillment of passenger safety in water transportation traffic is knowledge of klotok steering behavior safely to help avoid traffic accidents, the condition of motorboats meeting the feasibility of operating and safety equipment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the motorboat driver, the state of the motorboat building, safety equipment and the effect on the safety of passengers at Lake Kereng Bangkirai Pier, Palangka Raya City. The population in this study were visitors to the Lake Kereng Bangkirai tourist attraction, with a sample of 96 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling incidental sampling type. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is as follows: Y = 0.303 +0.187X1+0.203X2+0.556X3+µ. The results of multiple linear regression research show that there is a positive influence partially the driver's role affects passenger safety tcount (2.033) > t table (1.986), the state of the ship building affects passenger safety tcount (2.252) > t table (1.986), and tools -safety equipment affects passenger safety tcount (5.064) > ttable (1.986). The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the correlation coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.605) which means 60.5%, the variable coefficient of the driver's role, the state of the motorboat building, safety equipment affects the safety of passengers, while the rest is 39, 5% is influenced by variables outside this study.
