Abstract
PT. The Indonesian Classification Bureau (Persero) or abbreviated as BKI, is an Indonesian state-owned company appointed as a classifier for merchant ships with Indonesian and foreign flags that regularly operate in Indonesian waters. The Indonesian Classification Bureau is tasked with surveying the feasibility of a ship's engine to sail safely. Survey is a comprehensive examination or research. One of the surveys conducted by the Indonesian Classification Bureau is an annual inspection of ship engines. The inspection is carried out to determine the inspection of the ship's engine system when the engine is being maintained, to know that the ship's engine system is in accordance with international standards, the feasibility of the machinery system so that the ship can sail safely. Maintenance on ship machinery is carried out to maintain resistance to ship machinery so that the engine can last a long time so that the level of productivity is smooth, develops, there is no disturbance due to ship damage.
