Abstract
Indonesia is a country that is well-known as a maritime country which most of its area is waters along with the development of the times when people who were originally more dominant in choosing land transportation modes are now starting to switch to sea transportation modes in order to meet and meet their needs, therefore gradually people will know regarding the process of clearance in and clearance out of a ship as well as what procedures must be carried out so that everything runs smoothly. With the development of the types of sea transportation modes balanced with the modern era, PT. Yala Samudera Abadi Semarang provides services in the form of handling when the ship will be leaning which the ship is agented by PT. Yala Samudera Abadi Semarang, as well as serving the processing of ship documents and ship needs. This paper is made with the aim that readers can understand the process of clearance in and clearance out of a ship, in this case the author uses the method of observation or observation used to explore how the anchoring process occurs during the ship's arrival until the ship leaves the port of loading, using the method this, the problems that have existed so far can be resolved the authors get the results that the ship docking process must be very careful from registering the ship until the ship's departure time but with the skills and experience of the employees of PT.
