Abstract

Along with the development of the era, people who previously chose land transportation more dominantly have now begun to switch to using sea transportation to make ends meet and fulfill their needs, therefore it is slow for the wider community to see how the ship arrives and departs and what procedures must be done so that everything goes smoothly. smooth. With the development of marine transportation modes, which are balanced by the increasing number of consumer demands, PT Bintang Manunggal Pratama provides services in the form of handling the process of ships arriving and departing, as well as serving the processing of documents.This work was made so that readers can understand how the process of ship docking and handling of incoming and outgoing ships or the obstacles they face. In this paper, the writer uses the observation method used to explore how the berthing process can occur as long as the ship arrives until the ship departs using this method so that the existing problems can be resolved, in this case the author goes directly to the field to make observations and feel during doing ground practice (PRADA). The author obtained the result that the ship berth process is very complicated, but with the skills of the employees of PT.
