Abstract

Fuel is very important to support the quality of the fuel, it requires good and regular maintenance so that the system remains normal and the engine runs optimally. Given the important role of maintaining the quality of fuel, if there is a failure of one component of the fuel system, it will have an impact on the performance of the main engine and affect the ship. To prevent the decline in fuel quality due to damage to the fuel filter and dirty fuel tank resulting in poor fuel quality. lack of maintenance of fuel filters and lack of maintenance of fuel tanks that have dirt or sludge deposits in them. There must be maintenance, the filter is always cleaned or replaced, and it must always be routine in cleaning the dirt in the tank so that the tank remains clean and the quality of the fuel inside is maintained. So a good scheduling analysis is needed. In this study, we will discuss the maintenance of the fuel filter and fuel tank on the KM. BANAWA NUSANTARA 70. The results showed that the maintenance on the filter and tank must be done regularly so that the fuel quality remains perfect. As well as making the quality of the fuel does not decrease and its quality is maintained. In addition, checking the quality of the fuel is also necessary when entering or refueling the fuel tank. Filter and tank maintenance is carried out regularly in order to maintain the quality of the fuel. Keywords: Fuel Quality, Filter, Tank
