Abstract
Congestion is a condition where the traffic flow that passes on the road under review exceeds the planned capacity of the road which results in the free speed of the road section approaching or exceeding 0 km/hour, causing queues to occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the analysis of the causes of traffic jams on the Jepara Veterans Road, with a sample of 100 respondents in this study. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling incidental sampling type. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is as follows: Y = 0.373 +0.567X1+0.178X2+0.196X3+µ The results of multiple linear regression research indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between road capacity on traffic congestion (t count 5,373 > t table 1,98447), Parking characteristics on traffic congestion (t count 2,013 > t table 1,98447 ), side barriers to traffic congestion (t count 2,289 > t table 1,98447). The influence of the three research variables is very strong with the correlation coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.609) which means 60.9%, the variable coefficient of road capacity, parking characteristics, side barriers affect traffic congestion, while the remaining 39.1% is influenced by by variables outside this study.
