Abstract
Traffic accidents are one of the problems in the transportation sector which almost occurs throughout the world. Traffic accidents are one of the biggest causes of death in Indonesia. The large number of victims will have an impact on material and social losses which are not small. This requires serious handling so that there will not be an increase in the number of traffic accidents from year to year. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. With a population of motorbike users on Jalan Lingkar Barat, Kaliwungu District, Kudus Regency and a sample of 100 respondents was taken. With non-probability sampling technique type incidental sampling, data collection using a questionnaire, data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis techniques include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. From the results of the study, there is a relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the four independent variables, namely driver behavior (X1), environment (X2), vehicle condition (X3) and accident-prone areas (X4) have been studied proven to influence positively and significantly affects the dependent variable, namely the traffic accident factor, with the environmental factor variable (X3) having the highest influence than the other variables in influencing the traffic accident factors, the coefficient of determination (R Square) the value of Adjust R square is 0.532, meaning 53,2% of the dependent variable variation in traffic accident factors can be explained by the independent variables driver behavior, environment, vehicle conditions, and accident-prone areas. While the remaining 46.8% was explained by other causes outside the variables studied. Keywords: Driver Behavior, Environment, Vehicle Condition, Accident-Prone Areas, Traffic Accident Factors
