Abstract

Waiting time for ships is one of the problems that must be a concern at the Port of Sri Bintan, Pura Tanjung Pinang, which is very influential for the smooth process of unloading passengers or goods from the ship to the port of Sri Bintan, Pura Tanjung Pinang. This study aims to determine the factors that affect ship documents, loading and unloading productivity, ship scheduling, and waiting time for ships. This research was conducted at the Port of Sri Bintan, Pura Tanjung Pinang. The data was collected through the methods of observation, literature study, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS for Windows version 22.0 computer program. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis, the following equations are generated: Y = 15.202 – 0.259 X1 – 0.170 X2 – 0.265 X3 + µ Based on empirical facts and the results of multiple linear regression equations, it shows that the ship document variable (X1) has t count (-3.602) > t table (- 1.66320), loading and unloading productivity (X2) has t count (-2.262) > t table (- 1.66320), ship scheduling (X3) has t count (-4.020) > t table (-1.66320). As for the value of the adjuster R2 = 0.526. This means that 52.6% of the dependent variable (Y) can be explained by the independent variables, namely the availability of ship documents, loading and unloading productivity, ship scheduling. While the rest (100% - 52.6%) = 47.4% is explained by other reasons outside the variables studied. Thus, the results of the study show that the availability of ship documents, loading and unloading productivity, ship scheduling has a negative and significant effect on waiting time for ships at the Port of Sri Bintan, Pura Tanjung Pinang.
