Abstract

The safety of ship passengers in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is influenced by several factors including health protocols, passenger socialization and the role of the porter. Of the three, have an influence on passenger safety with satisfactory results. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an effect of health protocols, passenger socialization and the role of porters on the safety of passengers on the Semarang branch of the PELNI ship in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. In this study, the research population was PELNI ship passengers at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang with a sampling system with a total of 100 respondents (samples). The variables in the study consisted of: The independent variable was the influence of health protocols (X.1), passenger socialization (X.2), and the role of the porter (X.3) and the dependent variable was the safety of ship passengers (Y). The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis using the statistical tool SPSS V.24 program obtained multiple linear regression equations Y = 1.706 + 0.202 X1 + 0.321 X2 + 0.313 X3 + It shows that, based on empirical facts (the results of filling out the questionnaire) and the results of multiple linear regression, it shows that the protocol variable health (X1) has a t count of 2.881 and a t table of 1.98472 then H1 is accepted and significant, passenger socialization (X2) has a t count of 0.321 and a t table of 1.98472 then H2 is accepted and significant, the porter's role has a t count of 0.313 and t table of 1.98472 then H3 is accepted and significant. In the coefficient of determination test (R Square) the Adjust R square value of 0.618 means that 61.8% of the variation in the dependent variable on the safety of ship passengers can be explained by the independent variables of health protocols, passenger socialization, and the role of the porter. While the remaining 38.2% is explained by other reasons outside the variables studied such as weather factors, human error, technical error. Keywords: Passenger Safety, Health Protocol, Passenger Socialization of the Role of Syahbandar.
