Abstract
The subject matter in writing this paper is made to obtain an in-depth picture of the role of PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines, Jakarta branch, In particular the process of loading and unloading containers on the ship, the system used for the manufacture of loading and unloading bays, the stages that are passed, the parties involved, the required documents, the obstacles experienced and the methods used to overcome obstacles in the process of making the bayplan up to the implementation process on the ship. For the data used, the authors use primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with field operations and admin. Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained through books, archives, and other sources. The data collection method used was observation which saw firsthand the activities at the port. The results of the study can be concluded that the company is engaged in shipping and containers, where this company helps the management of shipping goods through sea transportation modes with containers, making it easier for consumers in terms of shipping goods between islands in Indonesia.
