Abstract
Agent sea transport have very important role in activity of sea transport to influence commerce fluency and economics. PT. Pertamina Trans Kontinental assigned to assist at activity development of production and also act as general agent to ship oiltanker property of PT. Pertamina ( PERSERO ) which rented. In handling of ship arrival, agent party claimed to be able to give maximum service as effort to get trust of related party to system applied by agent in handling of ship arrival ( in clearance ), during ship reside in port and at the time of ship will go out from port ( out clearance). That obligation of agent monitoring execution of handling or service of agent having the character of activity of payload physical and also activity of ship coming and going schedule. Fundamental duty of ship agent to deputize owner / principal in pursuant to and its obligation in port of halting place of ship which agent, guarantying ship operational activity in port, submitting realization of visit ship’s in port.
