Abstract
In the process of repairing ships, there is the term docking. Docking is any type of repairs carried out above the dock. Considering the ship is a product that is very technology intensive, it requires very thorough preparation before docking. This aims to reduce costs and speed up the docking time so that the ship can be reused according to its function. There are 4 types of docking, 1. docking pool (graving dock), 2. floating docking (floating dock), 3. pullpull (slipway dock), 4. docking lift (syncrholift). Of the four types of suctioning, PT. Wira Ariandi Utama prefers the docking pool (graving dock) because it is more efficient and easier to carry out docking and the cost of docking is less, to maximize dosing there are steps that must be carried out before and after docking, namely docking list preparation, preparation making SOW (SCOPE OF WORK), recommendations from the classification body, documentation, determination of shipyards, notification to the classification and ship agency, notification by the skipper, preparation for repair and docking at the shipyard, supervision of functional tests and testing of owner surveyors, controlling, and final testing .
