Abstract
Diesel engines play an important role on board the ship to produce electrical energy. The formulation of the problems in this paper are 1) What are the factors that cause the mixing of lubricating oil with fuel in the diesel generator engine crankcase, 2) What is the impact of mixing lubricating oil with fuel on the diesel carter engine generator?, 3) Efforts to prevent mixing Lubricating oil with fuel in the Diesel Generator engine crankcase? The interview method used is descriptive qualitative. The author also uses data collection methods that the authors do is by means of observation, documentation and interviews to strengthen the discussion. The results of this interview are the factors causing the mixing of lubricating oil with fuel in the diesel generator engine crankcase at SPOB MARY are 1) Leaks in the over flow injector pipe connection, 2) Damage to the surface of the ring nipple over flow injector, 3) Leaks in the material pump This fuel occurs in the seal 4) Lack of understanding of the machinist about the maintenance of Diesel Generator engines, the impact is 1) an increase in the amount of lubricating oil mixed with fuel, 2) the lubricating oil loses viscosity. Efforts to prevent the factors causing the mixing of lubricating oil with fuel in the Diesel Generator engine crankcase that must be done are 1) Replacing the overflow injector pipe, 2) Changing the overflow injector nipple ring, 3) Cleaning the Fuel Oil Filter, 4) Changing the Fuel Pump Seal, 5) Replacing Lubricated Oil in Crankcase, 6) Studying / understanding the Manual Book, To avoid the factors that cause the mixing of lubricating oil with fuel, maintenance and replacement are required regularly so that the Diesel Generator engine is always in normal condition. Before carrying out maintenance and repairs in the problem of mixing lubricating oil with fuel in the diesel generator engine crankcase, you should study and understand what is in the Manual Book.
