Abstract
Medical First Responder (MFR) is a helper who first arrives at the scene, who has medical skills in handling emergency cases, who are trained to the most basic level. The goal of MFR is to reduce the number of casualties and we can also quickly treat victims so that they do not become fatal and claim lives. According to Bambang, the statistical data of IMO (International Maritime Organization) in 2010 shows that 80% of all marine accidents are caused by human error (human error), of which 60% is a management error such as operating a ship or consciously making cargo on a ship. excessive and 40% due to the lack of ability of the crew in carrying out and overcoming various problems that arise while working on ships that occur because the 1978/45 STCW convention (standards of training, certification and watch keeping for seafarers) is not applied which contains educational requirements or training that must be fulfilled by the crew to work as a sailor. Therefore seafarers in Indonesia must understand Medical First Responder (MFR) as first aid for victims at sea to reduce and prevent the number of victims. It is no less important that the authors include the techniques for helping victims of fractures due to accidents at sea and how to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to victims who have an accident on board Keywords: Medical First Responder (MFR), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), fracture
