Abstract
This paper discusses how to care for Electro Motor parts. Electro Motor is a tool to convert Electrical Energy into Mechanical Energy. The opposite function converts Mechanical Energy into Electrical Energy, Electro Motor is very important because it supports the performance of the pump, especially the seawater pump which functions as a cooling of the main engine. The damage to the Electro Motor is damage to Bearings, overload, lack of lubricating oil, supplier wire, and excess temperature. This is raised by the author from the results of observations that the author did. The way to get data is to conduct interviews, document observation and literature studies. From the results of the observation the authors conducted primary data collection by conducting a field study by directly reviewing the object of destination. Primary data retrieval is collecting data with documentary. While secondary data is taken from information and books, scientific journals, theses, and others. The observations on this paper, damage to the Electro Motor caused several factors, namely worn wear, overload, lack of lubricating oil, supplier wire, and excess temperature.
