Abstract
Electric welding in the shipping world is needed to support the manufacture and repair of metal objects. An electric welding machine is a metal joining device through a metal melting process using heat energy. In the world of shipping there are many things that must be considered both in terms of welding results and risks such as chimney welding. The purpose of this paper is to determine the process, maintenance system, and problems that occur in the manufacture of chimney welding. Different amperes make welding different metals difficult to do. It is necessary to pay attention to all forms of factors that can affect the workmanship of the object. There are several problems caused by not being careful in welding and not following the applicable procedures in welding, and not maintaining and preventing damage to components in electric welding can affect the performance of workers and can cause several problems.
