Abstract

The injector is a component in a diesel motor that functions to absorb fuel into the combustion chamber. Injector maintenance in the fuel exhaust system is very important so that the combustion process occurs homogenizing combustion. Based on the background that has been stated, problems can be formulated, namely the weakening of the injector pressure due to lack of maintenance of the injectors and dirty fuel injectors which causes suboptimal combustion in the combustion chamber of the auxiliary engine and the detonation process is less rapid. Taken from this problem, the purpose of this paper is to adjust the weak fuel injector pressure on the ship MV. Tanto Harmoni and cleaning dirty injectors that can cause less than optimal combustion of the injectors in the auxiliary engine which must be known and understood by all engine crew. Therefore, the authors made observations and obtained the results achieved were the use of fuel returned to normal and there was no black smoke in the chimney and the injector pressure returned to normal, namely 400 kg / cm2, and the next result was the cleaning of the injector components from the clogging scale. because the quality of the fuel is not good. In this paper it can be concluded that the cause of the less than optimal performance of the injectors is due to the lack of maintenance on the injectors. Keywords : Injector, Adjustment, Pressure,
