Abstract
The cooling system is one system that works on ships. The function of Central Air Conditioning is to improve the comfort of ship accommodation so that the crew can feel comfortable while in the accommodation room and in the bedroom so that it can be maximized. The formulation of the problem in this paper is how to operate and maintain AC and how to solve the problem. Another goal is to find the cause of damage that often occurs in AC machines. Damage that often occurs is damage, evaporator, and leakage in the AC system. Maintenance that is often done is checking temperature, lubrication and replacement accordingly. The occurrence of leaks at the connection of the pipes impact on the AC to not be cold. Repairing leaky pipes by patching with copper welding. Lack of maintenance causes central air conditioning not to function properly. The death of the compressor, the leak of the evaporator and the leaking of pipes are the cause. Repair and maintenance of central air conditioning must be done according to the instruction manual. Central air conditioning maintenance is done regularly and periodically.
