Abstract

A drilling machine is a tool that can be used to punch, expand, and refine with precision and accuracy. To maintain and maintain the operational continuity and performance of the drilling machine to run as expected, periodic maintenance is required. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to determine the cause of the drilling machine rotation to become heavy which causes the drilling machine to heat up quickly and to determine the cause of the noise that comes out of the drilling machine when it is used. The research method used is a qualitative data analysis method by making observations related to the identification of damage to the bearings on the drilling machine on the Kumba State Ship (KN). The data used are data on observation time, damage to bearers in drilling machines, and drilling machine maintenance schedules. The results show that maintenance of bearers in drilling machines must be carried out periodically so that bearers are not jammed and the use of drilling machines can be carried out optimally and make perfect drill results. In addition, physical checks are also needed when the drilling machine is not in use, so that it can detect which components need maintenance. Other bearer maintenance is the lubrication of bearers that is carried out regularly so that the rotation of the bearers becomes normal again.
